The State of Feral DPS On Your Realm
2010-03-24 00:00:00
I have been feral dps since they day Lich King rolled off the shelves. Previously in BC I had focused more on tanking but when 2.3 came out and the feral tree was split to accommodate a more focused effort on either tanking or dpsing I opted to abandon tanking and be a melee.
It's been loads of fun and even with the time off I took recently I came back and jumped right back into the swing of things. Even though I am no longer top geared on my realm like I had been a few months ago when my guild was competing for one of the top 5 sp...
Still loving Beast Master after all this time
2010-03-15 00:00:00
So, I finally stopped playing around with my numerous alts, and got back to the business of seriously levelling my hunter. I just dinged 66 the other night and got Kill Command...
I'm playing around with this ability in the outlands, getting a few nice crits for around 500+, and regular hits from KC for around 350. Pretty decent for a measly 75 mana! Still I'm thinking I'd like to see this ability crit for more...

Help with DP (BM)
2010-03-05 00:00:00
Once you know what DP (or BM, as i see it refered to more often) is all about, the only thing you can do is gear up. I really hate add duty and will dump it on anyone else i can. If i get stuck with it:
1) i bitch and moan to the tank to get him to to keep adds on them. This way others will usually get some dmg on them while i wind up my steady shot.
2) keep a frost trap between you and the portal.
3) dont go into BM until your group has LOTS of dps. Once you get to a certain pt in dmg, reg-bm is the easiest 5-man around, which is great since so many people roll on that damn 10 drop rate hourglass.
I'd suggest getting ready for heroics/kara, then coming back for the hourglass. You can skill your way throu...

and sadly, there are much better pieces from badges atm.
The reason for leveling LW would be the Boots of the Crimson Hawk, Belt of the Black eagle/belt of deep shadow, maybe the BT shoulder pattern and the chestpattern from SWP (gogo 15k gold? :P)
But primarily, as rinnkel said it's the drums.

'Sole Food Volume 2, Issue 16: The issue where Raymond explains why 2005 will be better than 2004
2009-10-22 00:00:00
Wow. This was one of the best gaming years ever. As you'll see in our ongoing Game of the Year feature, the number of excellent titles released in 2004 was astounding. From Ninja Gaiden to Halo 2 to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to Metroid Prime 2 Echoes to Burnout 3 to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater to Katamari Damacy to scores of other games I'm too lazy to type, console gamers had so many outstanding titles to choose from this year.

Watching my fellow editors dig into the console goodness was lots of fun for me. Each of them had adorable moments where they sat in front of their televisions being dazzled by the games they were experiencing. They laughed, they cried, and they trembled with excitement for much of the year (which made for a weird work environment, but whatever). Yet there I was, sitting on the sidelines (no, we don't actually have sidelines in the office), unable to get into the games as much as they did.

Raymond ponders growing his hair out so he can match his drawing again, as well as how awesome 2005 will be.
As amazing as 2004 was, it just wasn't my year (I'll get into why shortly). That said, 2005 is looking incredible for me. I'm positive that I'm going to enjoy 2005's games more than I did 2004's. It might not be better than 2004 in terms of quality and quantity, but I've no doubt that it's going to be an awesome year for "Raymond" games. And here are the reasons why.

BioWare -- Those of you that have been reading my GameSpy articles for the last two years and eight months (yes, all seven of you) know that I am a BioWare fanboy. The company has supplanted Square as "the developer that has stolen the most hour...

I don't want to talk about Jack Thompson. I really don't.
People are sick of his antics, and desperate cries for attention, and consider anything he does "old hat" and tired. I'm told that giving him even thetiniest bit of attention makes him stronger and eventually impossible to destroy without the help of a virgin reading from some old Sumerian text.

Which we all know is next to impossible to find. (The virgin, not the text.)
And so.. I've ignored him and his antics (mostly), and through all of the Manhunt II controversy and ESRB debates that are going on - I've taken the higher road, turned a blind eye, and pretty much not given into the temptation to report on whatever wacky thing Jack Thompson is doing to get Mommy and Daddy Media to notice him.
That was until he tried to subpoena someone to speak on his behalf at his up and coming bar trial. See, Jack Thompson is thiiiiiiis close to losing his license and being banished forever to "The Phantom Zone" where he will no longer be able to cause harm to the rest of the world.

So desperate times call for desperate measure, and Jack knows it is time to pull out any big guns he has left in his arsenal.
In the past Jack hasn't been afraid to ta...
